TRACK AND FIELD

Coach Doran is entering his first year of coaching at TCHS but has 22 years of coaching experience. He attended the University of New Mexico (Bachelors) and the University of Concordia of Austin (Masters). He is all about family!

Coach Thomas is in his 15th consecutive year at Timber Creek High School. He is married to Angela and together they have a beautiful daughter, Capri. Though he is currently the head girls' track and field coach, his experience ranges from football and basketball to golf and cross-country coaching. In his time as assistant and head girls track and field coach (2017-present) he has been a part of two district championship teams (2021-2022), an Area Championship team (2022), multiple regional champions, finalists, and state finalists. His teams have consistently finished in the top 4 of the district during his tenure. His passion, however, spans beyond simply coaching. He envisions the best person in every athlete he has the opportunity to coach. Coach Thomas is currently in the process of obtaining his master's degree in professional counseling at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Coach Simmons has been with TCHS for 14 years with over 24 years of coaching experience. He attended Texas A&M University and loves to help young athletes develop the skills of empathy and integrity so that they can lead, be responsible, and change the world for good.
